Geeks of the world must read this.
So simple, yet so unbelievably difficult in practice.
Who's got a copy of this software app?

Speaking as someone who has tried to learn 5 languages and become fluent only in one (Swedish), this is good news. I'm going to V-mall now to see if Supermemo is there. :)

Hi Winston,

Doesn't everyone in Sweden speak fluent English (with not even an accent) anyway? How useful is Swedish?

I lived in Sweden for 5 years. The further you go from the cities, the less people speak English. Ja, ja! :)

Seriously, I worked for a Swedish company for 12 years in 3 countries so the Swedish came in handy. Like an English speaking Filipino who likes to speak Tagalog, the Swedes prefer speaking their language and it's an advantage to speak it with them.

I kept thinking about this article, closet geek that I am. I remember that the foreign words, that I would remember easily, would be the ones that I would hear again sometime after I learned the word. This is in line with Wozniak's hypothesis. Jätte fint!
